So here we are again. Another weekend spent with our faces buried in our computer screens (not literally because we would be dead). Adam and Coat are busy building the site that will take over the world, Rola (aka Mr. Flambingo) is searching the few highs and the vast sea of lows that is the internet looking for info, competition, and anything that can help us be a better company… or he’s playing around on facebook. And me, well I have been elbows deep in the theoretical, logistical, and legal guts of this endeavor of ours. And let me tell you those guts be ugly. Yes, that’s right I actually do something for this little start-up of ours, though it’s nothing that anyone will ever see unless you are looking to give us money or want to check out our legal status with the state. So today I thought I would add some pictures of yours truly. For example, there is my desk. It used to be my kitchen table but has since been commandeered for a far greater cause. And on the side is one of me hard at work and my fellow officemates at the ready to help with the process that is starting a business. That’s all for me, maybe Mr. Flambingo will do an update from a coffee shop tomorrow between bouts of throwing people around on facebook.

Sunday, February 10th, 2008Hola! It’s the ROLA back with another update…
Thanks to Adam and his wonderful loveliness (yes, I did just say wonderful loveliness), we (not you yet) have some mock screen shots of what the RoyalAnts profiles will look like. I can honestly say that you are going to love it. There are some elements that stay in line with what you are familiar with from other social networking sites, but we add some great design and functionality that other sites don’t offer. Visually it is much more appealing than what you are used to, and it is exciting to get see some of what is in store.
Hopefully we will have something for you all to look at in the very near future!

Me and Rola are sitting in the new Sugar House Coffee which is across from the ruins of the old Sugar House Coffee location. We are working on making contacts, checking out the competition, business plans, funding ideas, and all of the other stuff that Adam and Coat are not doing.
One of our goals with RoyalAnts is to help bring awareness, publicity, and help connect people to their local businesses to keep scenes like this from happening. There used to be 10 locally owned and operated businesses here, some who had to close for good because they could not afford to relocate, and now there is just a pile of rubble. And what’s going up in place of Pibs exchange where you get the latest in used clothes, or free speech zone where politics and locally made shirts, stickers, buttons, and art were the items du jour? Corporate America. After all what town doesn’t need a new Abercrombie & Fitch or Foot Locker?
We got a few new pics up showing everyone working, and while you don’t see me, I’m the one taking the pictures so my working is implied. Hopefully our progress impresses you all as much as it impresses us.
