As the Ants crew marches forward with our little project we become more and more aware of the importance of the upcoming mobile revolution. Consider where we were even 7 or 8 years ago. Only a small fraction of people even had cell phones. Move ahead 3 or so years from then. At that point nearly everyone had a cell phone and used it for what it was originally meant for; Phone calls. Fast forward to today. Now those little electronic devices we carry around with us everywhere we go are used for everything short of making your breakfast. Text messaging, picture taking, video shooting, game playing, GPS navigation, MP3 playing, and web browsing are things people do everyday on their mobile devices (you can hardly call it just a phone anymore). So, what’s next?
Tomorrow is almost here. With the upcoming official announcement (Sept 23rd) of the much anticipated Android mobile software the future of the wireless industry will begin. The ability to customize your mobile device will be taken to a new level. Software developers from around the world have already begun developing applications that allow the user to make their device whatever they want it to be. The web browsing capabilities are going to go from mediocre to quite impressive. You will have a very functional Internet in your pocket at all times. Access to information, entertainment, email, maps, etc on interactive touch screens that make the browsing experience even more fun and more functional. What you will able to do with your mobile device will far surpass any expectations people had for phones even a few years ago.
We realize how important the mobile world is becoming. How important it is to peoples everyday loves, to businesses, to advertising, to just about everything. That is why we have a renewed focus on bringing the finished RoyalAnts product to all major mobile platforms, including Android sooner than later. I look forward to showing you all how RoyalAnts will contribute to the mobile revolution.
